NXT is back for another TakeOver and this one is drawing heavily on 90s nostalgia with the In Your House name. (In Your House, get it? Because there is a quarantine going on because of a pandemic that doesn’t allow people to go to live events and leave their homes.) This will be the first of two straight weeks of WWE events as next weekend we have WWE Backlash featuring the greatest wrestling match of all time.
The NXT TakeOver events are almost always a homerun with good matches up and down the card, and this one is no different. There is a bit of an old guard/new guard theme to the show with Tommaso Ciampa taking on Karrion Kross, Johnny Gargano taking on Keith Lee, and Damian Priest versus Finn Balor.
As always, the Going Over: Bet Pro Wrestling Podcast did a full episode on this event. Make sure to listen for our complete betting tips and to subscribe in your podcast app.

The NXT Women’s Championship is a match that I am especially looking forward with Charlotte Flair taking on Rhea Ripley and Io Sharai in a three-way. This match really has the potential to steal the show and I personally believe that it should main event this show. The odds have been moving on this with Charlotte opening as the favorite and Io opening as a huge underdog, but those have switched quite a bit since.
The show will also feature Karrion Kross making his NXT TakeOver debut against Tommaso Ciampa. Kross got the huge debut on NXT TV and has won two squash matches, but this is his first match-up against a main NXT star. He is a huge, huge favorite at 888Sport at -1115. I find it really hard to see him losing so early in his run here so I would agree with those odds and will be staying away from this one.
Complete betting odds for NXT TakeOver: In Your House are below. These odds are from BetOnline. The odds are slightly different at 888Sport.
NXT TakeOver: In Your House Betting Tips:
- Adam Cole (-300) vs. Velveteen Dream (+200)
- Io Shirai (-150) vs. Charlotte Flair (+115) vs. Rhea Ripley (+200)
- Damian Priest (-160) vs. Finn Balor (+120)
- Johnny Gargano (-160) vs. Keith Lee (+120)
- Mia Yim & Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox (-200) vs. Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez (+150)
- Karrion Kross (-250) vs. Tommaso Ciampa (+170)
Adam Cole (-300) vs. Velveteen Dream (+200): This match is a Last Chance Backlot Brawl for the NXT Championship and if Dream loses, he can no longer challenge for the NXT Championship while Cole is still champion. That is one of those things in wrestling that sounds like it means something, but it really means nothing. Especially in NXT when people can just get called up the main roster at any time.
This feels like a Cole win to me as this would be a weird way to end his long title run. Plus, it’s hard to see Dream getting rewarded at this time after some questionable moves on social media. Allegedly.
Io Shirai (-150) vs. Charlotte Flair (+115) vs. Rhea Ripley (+200): This match is going to kick ass and I’m really excited for it. On the podcast, I was all over Io Shirai when she was a big underdog and I am sticking with that here.
Damian Priest (-160) vs. Finn Balor (+120): It seems like Priest really needs this win here after taking the loss in all of his match-ups with Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic. Finn Balor can handle a loss here too because he’s Finn Balor. Plus, a Balor loss could set-up a rematch with DEMON Finn Balor and who doesn’t want to see that?
Johnny Gargano (-160) vs. Keith Lee (+120): With all that is going on in the world right now it feels like Keith Lee has to win this. Honestly, I would think he should win this even without everything that is going on in the world as he is way bigger than Johnny and has a real chance to be a big star on the main roster in the future. Johnny has dominated the title scene for a long time and just moving that story down to the secondary title is a big no from me. I’m really hoping Keith Lee wins here as it is the right move in multiple ways.
Mia Yim & Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox (-200) vs. Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez (+150): This ties into the above tip as I can’t see both Johnny and Candice losing. WWE has been idling with Candice for years and it’s time to hit the gas and go. She’s one of the best wrestlers on the roster and a great character. Let’s get her team the win here and move her onto a feud with Io or Rhea.
Karrion Kross (-250) vs. Tommaso Ciampa (+170): Nothing to see here. Kross is going to win.
